How much does it cost to remove a stump?

• Minimum fee of $230

• Pricing: $3–$5 per centimetre of stump diameter, depending on:

  • Depth of grinding required

  • Stump height before grinding

  • Soil conditions

  • Tree species

• Multiple Stumps: Discounts apply when grinding several stumps in the same job.

• Large Projects: Hourly rates are available for extensive jobs, such as land clearing or multi-day projects.

How deep can you grind?

• The stump grinding machine will grind 400mm deep which is typically sufficient for clearing all of the stump out. It is possible to go deeper if necessary and conditions allow.

Will there be a big hole left?

• The area the stump was in will be filled with a mix of dirt and small wood chip. Most commonly there will be excess material that will form a mound on top of where the tree stump was.

Do you take the chip away?

• The chip will be left either in a tidy pile on top of where the stump was or next to it, or spread on site.

• Chip removal is not currently offered.
